Aim of the course
The Abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound master course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of how to detect, define and describe an abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) using ultrasound.
This course is made of e-booklets supported by hands-on commented video lectures. This course covers fundamental topics as the ultrasound anatomy of the abdominal aorta, scanning protocol for the detection of AAAs, ultrasound characterisation of AAAs, reporting, screening and surveillance strategies currently used for AAAs comparing international guidelines recommendations.
The content of the course is continuously implemented and updated.
At the end of this course the knowledge to detect, measure and characterise AAA using ultrasound will be acquired.
